the resort itself is made up of 3 sections, taba (to the south), taba Heights (in the middle) and taba borders (to the north). Taba makes a fantastic base from which to explore the abundance of sights within the surrounding area - including diving.

One of the main attractions is the amazing pharaoh's Island, which holds the preserved remains of a fortress once occupied by Sultan Salah El-Din. Like many coastal cities in Egypt, scuba diving and snorkeling remain the first order of the day in taba. Many fascinating and colourful reefs lay just off of pharaoh's Island, and underwater canyons of various depths off the coast allow the adventurous to experience a myriad of sea life.

If you're not interested in going undersea exploring, then a land adventure to St. Catherine's Monastery should be on your itinerary. the 3rd century monastery offers over 200 icons, vivid frescoes, and a collection of ancient manuscripts for the curious-minded.
